MISS OHIO CONTEST continued from page 4

Other entertainment was provided by Miss Gar West, vice president of the "Miss Ohio Female Impersonator" pageant, in a Dolly Parton number and a combo routine. Miss Denine Monet, "Miss Ohio Female impersonator 1977" was her best self as 'Cher, and stole the costume show with her gold replica of Cher's latest, appearing on the record alblum jacket. In view of the fact that Miss Monet makes all her clothes, the impression was even greater! Miss Monet is a true entertainer, and professional designer, in the broadest sense of the word. Suzanne Stratford portrayed, as she so ably does, Miss Barbara Streisand. And in spite of some problems, she carried out her performance with true aplomb. Here is another starlet on the way up! Besides having won contests as a former 'Miss Hal's", and "Miss Outpost, she is the current "Miss Why Not", and was the 1st runner-up in the "Miss Gay North America Pageant". Jeanette Jones provided a humorous interlude, and has exhibited other talent by placing as 1st runner-up in the "Miss Gay Canton Pageant 1977".

THE GIRLS IN GOWN

MISS OHIO CONTEST CONTINUED

Mistress of Ceremonies duties were ably handled by "Micky", a former Miss 300. and "Miss 540". She demonstrated her expertise and sense of humor as she kept the show on the road in spite of a few innor mix-ups of cues.

Generous gifts of $100 each were received from "Boobie's Why Not Club" of Canton, and Camelot Complex I of Toledo. And a $20 donation was given by the performers in the "Miss 540 Contest."

Prizes awarded amounted to $725.00 with a $400.00 1st Prize going to Miss Jane Winters, the new "Miss Ohio Female Impersonator." The Second Prize of $200.00 went to Miss Denise Michaels of Toledo, the 1st runner-up who did a fabulous rendition of Judy Garland in the talent competition! 2nd runner-up was Miss Krista Kelly Field of Columbus $25 cash award. 3rd runner-up saw Georgia Jackson, of Columbus, winning the hearts of the audience as well as another $25 prize for her talent and style, $25 also went to the 4th runner-up Miss Kikki DeCarlo of Warren. There was a $20 entrance fee for all contestants, who included, in addition to the finalists, Miss Terry Lynn Summers of Canton, Miss Kate Alexander of Cleveland, Miss Adrienne Ticle of Youngstown, Miss Joy Wright of Columbus, and Miss Angie Monroe of Olmsted Falls who, in our opinion should have placed as a finalist.

There were seven judges in the competition. And to sum it up, the whole event appeared well organized and executed! A comedy stunt, however, midway through the program, created a hazardous wet surface on the stage and boardwalk, causing a number of contestants to slip and even fall. Some quests. in the rear made rude comments and loud noises, and should have been ushered out after the first warning. But all in all, the benefit came off with few hitches, the decorations were tasteful, and a general fun-time was had by all...
