Talkin bout high energy creativity,
and about finding personal Revolution
and You seeing the success it brings in the faces
of the person-on-the-street.
I can remember my feelings the first time I saw a da-rag queen
were a mixture of shock (Booga! Booga!),
and just feeling that "person" must have been very strange (how queer!). Then I remember when I discovered how fine, wise, and crazy
this drag was whom I had made close friends with.
Though not a political-minded gay,
she was in her own way a very liberated person.
And I became fascinated by her lifestyle and attitude

The dress was black ani shiny,
and slipped with a sleek, smooth feeling down over my head and shoulders
and my whole body said
"noh that's nice",
and my head went -
-
"wow that's strange, if it feels good
And then with rhinestone Moon and silver Star pinned on,
I walked into the dance and was met by a zap
on myself.
Very conscious of my self and how I felt.
Very conscious of every face and therein.
Lots of shifts and answers running about in my head.

Lavender and bright blue eyes are always a pleasure to look at.
And folks look,
and they all see the samo thing,
and they all react different:
