OSU CAY ALLIANvs.03 BIBLE DIS CS GA as submitted an omization approved solution to Joan Long, coordinator of Judicial programs, asking for an investigation of 09 Bible Studies' membership policies.05 GA has been given reports of disari...inatory practices against Cay members of OSU BS(formerly solid Rock). The OSU Student Code forbids sexual orie.tation to be used as a criteria for discrimination.

The resolution alleges discrimination in three different manners: Cay members are either explicitly told or expected to change their sexual orientation from homosexual to hetero. The group teaches that homosexuality is a sin, while heterosexuality is not considered a sin.

Members are taught that good christians are not Cay; therefore, good CS Bible Studies members are not Gay.

Basically, OSU Bible Studies in accused of setting up an inequality botween heterosexual and homosexual members. After informally interviewing 3 former Bible Studies members, Joar Long will confer with Dean of Student Life, Mitchel Livingston, and decide whether to continue the investigation. with fornal charges and learings.

Brian Knedler has been appointed GA laison to Long's office. Anyone who has information regarding this type of discrimination should contact Brian at Gay Alliance.

Tocking at the stats it's interesting to note some ups and downs. The large numb of calls for "olumbus Activities" in June attributable to the Gay Pride March that mo Kaposi sarcoma may be responsible for the high rate of "edical info" calls in July/ The "Roommate service" was heavily used in August and Sept.-the months wien many leas run out. Finally, the "Yout:" calls peaked in the middle of Summer vacation.

We should remember to thank the dedica staffers who answered all those calls. When you see how many prank calls we get, y can appreciate their dedication and frustr in answering the phones when they could be in the sunshine.
