One type of woman loves women and earns her living in an executive or professional capacity. The proper label for her is "lesbian" or alternatively a dyke, sister, homosexual, queer, gay woman, or per-
son.
And of course there are factory workers who love women. If they are themselves women, they may be called "lesbians" or alternatively a dyke, sister, homosexual, queer, gay woman, or person.
Age is a critical factor in any system of classification of human beings. Therefore, those women under 30 who love women will be called "lesbian" or alternatively a dyke, sister, homosexual, queer, gay woman, or person; while those over 30 will be called "lesbian" or alternatively a dyke, sister, homosexual, queer, gay woman, or person.

In the article I was referred to (much to my amusement) as, "a sterling "a sterling example of a Dyke in action." This description was written without my prior knowledge by a friend of mine. Straight people who were afraid of us and didn't know what to do with us gave us the name because they thought we should be hurt and shamed. Since then we've thought and talked it over together and decided that no one should convince us that we are sick, or immoral, or criminal. We decided that it was alright to be gay and we know we've made the choice to express it and we like and are proud of ourselves after we seperate what is real fromall the myths we were told. So, we took the word away from those who would hurt us and we use it to express our common identity and our pride, because we are strong enough to do it and because if we
