Turn Us On...
"THE GAY PRIDE REPORT", Stonewall Union's weekly cable television program, continues to produce shows for Columbus cable subscribers and in March celebrated its first year anniversary. In our first full year of programming we have improved the quality of the shows and all indications point to our having developed quite a following of viewers, both gay and straight. Future shows in April and May include an interview with Tom Chorlton about national gay politics, and an interview with Advocate columnist Larry Bush, and an interview with national gay rights leader Ginny Apuzzo of the National Gay Task Force.

Report
THE PRODUCTION of our TV shows is one of Stonewall Union's major ongoing projects. We are fortunate to have a crew of volunteers who work hard to put together quality programs. But we need more help. Persons who can write and type news stories for reading on the air are encouraged to contact us. We are not permitted to request donations or contributions on the air, so if you want to help us keep the show going and improve the quality and variety of shows consider sending us a check. Help us keep the nation's only weekly gay TV show on the air.
State of the Union
IN AN EFFORT to better aquaint our members with the inner workings of the Stonewall Union, we are taking this space to explain the organizational structure. Stonewall Union is governed by a Board of Directors which is elected once a year at the September monthly meeting. Any paid voting member may run for one of the eleven seats and may vote in the election for those seats. A minimum of four seats are required by our constitution to be held by women. (At present the board make-up is five women and five men).
THE BOARD sets policy for Stonewall and makes major decisions regarding our activities. Board members are required to attend meetings, serve on committees, and generally help out in their capacities of expertise. The board elects from itself the four officers of President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. The board also elects the Executive Director who is the full time staff person for the organization and runs the day to day operations of Stonewall Union. The board voted in February to compensate the director for his 30 to 40 hours per week with a small monthly salary. Board meetings are open to all members and copies of the constitution, financial statements and records, are available upon request. The Stonewall office is presently located in the home of the director. Below are some additional statistics:

Most of Stonewall's office supplies and materials are donated. This helps to make the funds we raise go further to increase the awareness of gay issues. At present we need an old desk or filing cabinet to be donated. Please contact us if you can help.
