After two and one half years of growth, Stonewall Union is gearing up for the most important project of its young life. Beginning in late March, Stonewall Union will prepare for the hopeful passage of a city-wide job protection ordinance for ALL employees in the city of Columbus. This action, introduced into City Council in the form of an amendment to the city code, will include sexual orientation in the list of discrimination prohibitions. While we expect passage through council, we all must be ready for any situation that may arise. Stay tuned. And please write supportive letters to council members, the mayor, and the newspapers as the action heats up. We need you!

1984 OHIO A PARADE

Stonewall Union's biggest annual event, the parade, is once again approaching The date and plans are in motion to make this year's event bigger than ever. has been firmly set for Sunday June 24th, and will be called the 1984 OhioMichigan Gay Pride Parade. A vast coalition of Michigan Lesbian and Gay organizations are joining with Ohio's cities for the Columbus parade with an expected attendance this year of over 4,000! Keynote speaker is Judge Mary Morgan of California, the first openly Lesbian Federal judge. Area Gay bars are promising to create floats for the parade this year. WE ARE FAMILY

Please welcome five new sponsors of the Stonewall Union by patronizing their establishments. The new organizations and business' that have joined the Union include Quality Pest Control of Columbus, Gay-Lesbian Parenting Group, Spectrum, and the Mansfield Area Active Gays. We also welcome aboard a new sponsor called Village Counseling and Psychological Services, Inc.

Stonewall PAC's political clout is surely growing. In February, ten months before the general election, we have already be contacted by candidates for Judge, U. S. Congress, and for President of the United States! Democrat Duane Jager, running against longtime foe Chalmers Wylie, has appeared before Gay groups soliciting support. In February, eighteen openly Gay delegates were elected across Ohio for presidential candidate Alan Cranston. And while he's out of the race, so apparently is John Glenn. And we can take some credit for that!

In order to organize and set an agenda for the 1984 elections, Stonewall PAC will hold an open general meeting Thursday April 19 at 7:30 p.m. at 231 E 8th Ave. Everyone interested in political activity is invited. Call 299-7764 for
